The Eraserheads concert which did push through at the Bonifacio Open grounds was cut short after the first half of the concert. A 20 minute intermission was announced. However, after exceeding the break, concert goers were immediately surprised to see Marcus Adoro, Buddy Zabala and Raimund Marasigan come out with Radiohead and MTV Philippines officials. Along with them on stage was Lally, Ely's sister who read a short note to the people, stating that her brother, Ely Buendia had to be rushed to the hospital immediately to seek medical attention. She apologized to the audience for having the concert cut short, thanked everyone for coming. The promoters further confirmed that Ely was already in the hospital and asked for 1 minute of silence in prayer for Ely's recovery. The crowd gave one final applaud before calmly exiting the concert grounds.

The Eraserheads had a straight set of 15 songs including their hits "Alapaap" "Ligaya", "Harana", "Kamasupra", "Fruitcake", "Toyang", "Hey Jay", "Huwag Mo Nang Itanong Sa Akin", "Shake Yer Head", "With A Smile", "Kaliwete", "Huwag Kang Matakot", "Kailan", and "Light Years".
Ely was showing signs of weakness and fatigue during his last few songs.

Ely's condition may have worsened due to the parting of his mother just last August 28, and an extended soundcheck till early morning of the concert day, in preparation for the concert. We wish Ely Buendia a speedy recovery.
