Jamie Rivera Sings The Official Theme Of The Year Of The Holy Rosary
The inspirational diva Jamie Rivera sings "Awit Para Sa Ina Ng Santo Rosario" -- the official theme song of the 2003 Year of the Holy Rosary. Father Carlos Magno Marcelo, the same person behind the hit song "Only Selfless Love", wrote the song for the album Mysteria Lucis released by Star Records.
Mysteria Lucis is a rosary album featuring a step-by-step guide to praying the rosary, especially the New Mysteries of Light introduced by the Holy Father Pope John Paul II.
It features prayers led by former President Corazon Aquino, His Eminence Jaime Cardinal Sin, His Eminence Ricardo Cardinal Vidal, Bishop Soc Villegas and Father Patrick Peyton.
In today's fast-paced lifestyle with our many deadlines and responsibilities at home, school or work, we often forget to spend a couple of minutes to sit down and pray the rosary. With the Mysteria Lucis album, we can pray anytime, anywhere -- whether it is in the car, at work or while we're on our way home. All we have to do is pop in the album on our CD or cassette player and reconnect our ties with the Holy Mother Mary and Her Son.
"Awit Para Sa Ina Ng Santo Rosario" was formally launched as the official theme of the Year of the Holy Rosary last February 21, at 12 nn at the Manila Cathedral, Intramuros, with a performance by Jamie Rivera. This was the first of the many grand Eucharistic events lined up beginning March in line with the Catholic Church's activities for the Year of the Holy Rosary.
Other tracks in the Mysteria Lucis album are "Mysteries Of Light" by Jamie Rivera and 92 AD, "Mysteria Lucis" by Jamie Rivera, "The Harvest Is Great" by Bituin Escalante together with the San Carlos Optimi Choir, "Love And Sacrifice" by Dingdong Avanzado and "Salve Regina" by Dianne de la Fuente.
