Jasmine Trias has already amassed a very big following when she placed third on the third season of American Idol in 2004. Now it's very sure that she will win a much wider audience with the release of her eponymous album from Universal Records.

The Fil-American singing idol has splendidly blended together just the right amount of pop, ballad and R&B in the "Jasmine Trias" album. The delightful musical package from the very exciting Fil-Am lady, has "Lose Control" as maiden single, an edgy, R&B flavored song composed, arranged and produced by DJ MOD (a.k.a. Noel Macanaya), who has worked with leading artists here and abroad. "Sana Lagi," the second single is a Korean ballad with Filipino lyrics by John Barnard Boria and Ito Rapadas who also arranged and produced this track. Both "Lose Control" and "Sana Lagi" have been translated into music videos; the former produced in Hawaii and the latter directed by Jeffrey Tan.

Among the outstanding cuts in the "Jasmine Trias" album is "Excuses", which has been charted No.1 on Wave 89.1 FM, the first local airlanes which played songs from the album. Jasmine's fans has long been wanting a recording of this particular ditty, "Inseparable", her signature song in "American Idol."

Jasmine's version of the Natalie Cole classic is simply mesmerizing. Another potential hit is "Kung Paano", penned by consistent hitmaker Vehnee Saturno, who also wrote the first blockbuster of another Fil-Am talent, Jay R. Songwriter to superstars Dianne Warren composed "If I Ever See Heaven", to be another sparkling gem in the album. The infectious rhythm of the songs "DJ Don't Quit", "What You Do To Me", "Can't Hold You Back" and "Don't Go" supply the party and dance-the- night-away feel. Jasmine performs with South Border in a tune destined to be a pop classic, "Once Again", composed by Jay Durias with Sharon Inductive as co-writer of lyrics. Jay also arranged and produced this number for the album.

Now in the Philippines for a promo blitz of the "Jasmine Trias" album sponsored by Information Gateway, Smart IDD, Skechers, ABS-CBN, MYX, Studio 23, Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila (the official home of Jasmine Trias), McDonalds and the Philippine Star. The Fil-Am idol will be at Podium on September 16 (Friday, 6 PM), SM Bacoor on September 17 (Saturday, 5 PM) and SM North Edsa on September 18 (Sunday, 5 PM). There will be autograph signing after the free shows.
