Search for a Star champion Rachelle Ann Go sets up stakes in the hit race for 2007 with the release other new album Obsession. Produced by Christian de Walden of Hollywood, the CD is Rachelle Ann's third studio album and is expected to follow in the success other earlier releases, Rachelle Ann Go and I Care.

De Walden, who usually works with leading pop stars in Spain, Italy, Mexico and the United States, also produced Sarah Geronimo's phenomenal Becoming album tor the international market. He first worked with Rachelle Ann for some cuts in I Care including the hit single "If You Walk Away". He was so impressed with the young singer's style and hardworking attitude he decided to do a complete album with her also earmarked for foreign sales on Viva Records' LA label Viva West.

"Rachelle Ann is terrific to work with in the studio," says De Walden. "She is energetic and has a great work ethic. She doesn't stop until she feels she has given it all she has. In the year that I have been working with her, she has improved tremendously." The result of the collaboration is Obsession, which contains 13 new originals from songwriters in Europe, the United States and the Philippines. With the goal in mind of presenting the 20-year-old Rachelle Ann as a matured and accomplished artist, De Walden created a mixture of sounds set against Latin and Euro influenced dance tracks and a variety of ballads. The first single release is the bittersweet love song Don't Say Goodbye.

Obsession was recorded in Manila, Los Angeles and Milan with engineers Luca Vittori and Eric Payumo. The other cuts in the album are "And Me You", "Alam ng Ating Mga Puso", "This Must Be Love", "Come One Day", "I Will Always Love You Anyway", "Walk into My Life", "And You Love Me", "My Forever Love", "I'm Sure", "You Are My Obsession", "Something In The Air" and "lyong-iyo".


Rachelle Ann is one of the leading contract artists under the Viva Artists Agency. She is a regular in the Sunday noontime show A.S.A.P. at ABS-CBN. Among her hit recordings are "Don't Cry Out Loud", "You And Me (We, Wanted It All)" a duet with Christian Bautista, "Here I Am Again", "From the Start", "If You Walk Away", "I Care" and "Bakit".

Rachelle Ann is set to appear with singing heartthrob Christian Bautista in the ASAP Live presentation of You & Me, a pre-Valentine concert that will be held at the Aliw Theater on February 13, 2007.

Rachelle Ann will also perform songs from Obsession and her other hits live when she visits SM Clark on February 18; SM Lipa on February 24; SM Dasmarinas on February 25; SM Molino on March 3, SM Batangas on March 4; SM Lucena on March 10 and SM Baguio on March 17.
