The 1st OPM Songhits 2007 Awards is the first ever awards conducted by Interview Magazine, Inc. which are the makers of best-selling song magazines in the country: TOP 40 Hits, Most Requested Songs, Most Wanted Hits, Classics, BANDA and PINOY.

Hosted by Christian Bautista and Marc Abaya, the event was held at Cinema 5 of Robinsons Galleria on December 5, 2007. The star-studded awards night was graced by several artist-nominees including performances rendered by 6cyclemind, Callalily, Chicosci, Craeons, Cueshe, Hale, Itchyworms, Join The Club, Kyla, Miguel Escueta, Pupil, Rachelle Ann Go & Christian Bautista, Rivermaya, Ronnie Liang, Silent Sanctuary, Sugarfree and Yeng Constantino.

Yeng Constantino garnered the top spot for Best New Artist, Breakthrough Artist and the Top 40 Song Mag Special Award.
Sheryn Regis won the Best Female Recording Artist and the Texters' Choice Award while Spongecola was chosen as the Pinoy Song Mag Brand Awardee. Spongecola's Lead vocalist Yael Yuzon also emerged as the Best Male Vocalist. Callalily won the award for the Best band and Song of the Year for "Magbalik".
